Services / North Carolina
Bio Matrix Inc. provides on-site and mail-in pipette and balance calibration for laboratories across North Carolina. NIST-traceable documentation designed to support CAP, CLIA, GLP/GMP, and FDA audit requirements.
North Carolina is home to one of the highest concentrations of biotech, pharmaceutical, and contract research organizations in the country — anchored by Research Triangle Park and extending through the Triad, Charlotte, and beyond. Many of these facilities operate under CAP accreditation, CLIA certification, or GLP/GMP requirements that demand documented, NIST-traceable pipette calibration at regular intervals.
Our regional team services labs throughout the state on a scheduled rotation. On-site visits are typically available for facilities with 10 or more pipettes — our technician arrives with all equipment, tools, and 800+ replacement parts, completing calibration without removing instruments from your facility. For smaller labs or single-instrument needs, our mail-in service accepts shipments from any NC address.
Certificates are reviewed, signed, and delivered digitally — designed to hold up under CAP, CLIA, GMP, and FDA inspection without requiring follow-up documentation.
Compliance Documentation
All calibration certificates are NIST-traceable and performed in accordance with ISO 8655. Documentation is accepted by CAP, CLIA, FDA, and GLP/GMP auditors. Level 3 service includes full as-found/as-left data.
Our NC regional team runs scheduled routes across the state. Mail-in service is available from any NC zip code.
Biotech, pharmaceutical, CRO, and academic research labs across RTP and surrounding municipalities.
Healthcare systems, clinical labs, and growing life sciences facilities in the greater Charlotte metro.

Pharmaceutical manufacturing and coastal research facilities.
Mail-in service is available from any NC lab — no minimum instrument count required.
North Carolina's clinical and research laboratories operate under a range of accreditation and regulatory frameworks that require documented pipette calibration at defined intervals. CAP-accredited labs must maintain calibration records with documented traceability. CLIA-certified labs require calibration documentation as part of their quality management systems. GLP/GMP facilities operating under FDA oversight need as-found/as-left performance data.
Bio Matrix calibration certificates are designed specifically to satisfy these requirements — not just a sticker, but signed, reviewed documentation that includes instrument identification, calibration date, standard traceability, and pass/fail results at each tested volume. Level 3 service adds pre-service (as-found) and post-service (as-left) data tables required by GLP/GMP and some CAP protocols.
We also service analytical and precision balances — NIST-traceable balance calibration certificates are included in the same documentation package and accepted by the same auditors.
