On-site service is the right choice for most labs with 10 or more instruments in the Eastern US — but mail-in service is the better fit for smaller labs, labs outside our service area, or facilities that can plan around a short instrument absence. Use the comparison below to decide.

|---|---|---|
| Instrument leaves lab | No | Yes |
| Minimum volume | 10+ instruments | No minimum |
| Geographic availability | Eastern US | Any U.S. lab |

How many pipettes do I need for an on-site visit?
On-site dispatch is typically available for facilities with 10 or more instruments. Below that threshold, mail-in service is usually faster and more practical — there's no minimum count and turnaround is 3–5 business days from receipt.
Do my pipettes leave the lab during on-site service?
No. On-site service is completed entirely at your facility. Your instruments never leave the building, which simplifies chain-of-custody documentation for GLP/GMP and FDA-regulated environments.
Can repairs be done during the same on-site visit?
Yes, in most cases. Our technicians carry 800+ replacement parts covering the most common brands and models. Parts not in stock will be identified during the visit and handled as a follow-on service.
How far in advance do I need to schedule?
We run scheduled routes through each region. Sign up for our reminder service and we'll contact you when a technician is in your area. For facilities that can't wait for the next route, expedited scheduling may be available — contact us to check.
What does the certificate look like, and who accepts it?
Every on-site calibration produces a NIST-traceable Certificate of Calibration performed in accordance with ISO 8655. Certificates are reviewed, signed, and delivered digitally — typically within 1–3 business days of the visit. Documentation is accepted by CAP, CLIA, FDA, GLP, and GMP auditors without supplemental paperwork.
What geographic areas do you cover for on-site service?
We operate three regional teams covering the Eastern US: NC/VA/SC/GA/TN/AL; NJ/NY/CT/RI/MA/VT/NH/ME; DE/PA/MD and northern FL. Facilities outside this footprint can use our mail-in service from any U.S. address.
